QS Writing Session @ YMCA "Thrive through Survivorship" Retreat | May 7th, 2026 9am - 4pm Light refreshments and light lunch will be provided. | Register: debbie.cruz@ymcawichita.org Join us for a day of fellowship, activity, and education for cancer survivors. No cost to attend, but registration is required. A light lunch will be served. The retreat is open to any cancer survivor; prior involvement in LIVESTRONG at the YMCA isn’t necessary. Location: Camp Hiawatha and Retreat Center, 1601 W. 51st Street N., Wichita, KS 67204 The LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program is a place where cancer survivors reclaim their energy and strength. Our Cancer Survivor Retreat brings individuals from all walks of life together who not only share a common journey, but also the desire to thrive through survivorship. | |

Upcoming Title: Boys Without Fathers
We are pleased to introduce Quiet Storm’s newest, upcoming author, Jason Allen! He writes fiction, poetry, and memoir. Jason is the author of the novel The East End (Park Row Books/HarperCollins) and the poetry collection A Meditation on Fire (Southeast Missouri State University Press). He has an MFA from Pacific University and a PhD in literature and creative writing.
